Sriti Jha

sriti jha was born in Kolkata and then Jha went to Modern Indian School Kathmandu, and later shifted to Delhi where she studied in Laxman Public School & Sri Venkateswara College, and joined the English dramatics society named “Verbum” in 2004. She went on to become the President of the society and got her first main role in a Verbum play titled “Ritual In Blood”. She won one Best Actor award in the Delhi University dramatics circuit for this particular performance.

She made her television debut in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom as Malini Sharma. After her success she played the lead role in Shaurya Aur Suhani on STAR Plus. She then had a big break on the channel 9X as the leading lady of show Jiya Jale.

After the end of Jiya Jale, she is set to star in another show on 9x named Angad. But due to black out in the TV industry 9X went into financial crisis. This also affected all the up coming serials on 9x and are now in halt position.

Currently, she is playing the role of Sudha (aka Sudhi) in the NDTV Imagine television serial Jyoti. Jyoti traces the journey of a young woman Jyoti, the eldest of three daughters and the sole bread winner of the family, who sacrifices her dreams and aspirations to fulfill every need and desire of her family.

Sudha (played by Sriti) is the second eldest of the siblings. She is much suppressed, introvert and has concealed feelings. At the age of 7 she was sent off to her grandmother’s place in a village to stay away from the financial crisis the family was going through. Sudha misses the love, care and affection which she never received from her parents and this is the reason she is always found amongst books. Sudha has always envied her classmates and friends for the love and affection they received from their parents. The longing for affection has given Sudha a split personality.

Jha has been linked up with co star Vikrant Massey in a relationship .But both sides have quipped silence and denied to any kind of link ups.Both have admitted to be good friends and nothing else.
